DON’T DISRESPECT JUNIOR WORKERS

Another Monday presents itself before us and the sons of men would go out this week working hard with their hands as God blesses the work of their hands (Deuteronomy 28:12).

#BGIM – Don’t Disrespect Junior Workers

Yes. Don’t disrespect junior workers. I mean you have to respect junior employees and workers if you want to GROW this year and beyond.

The junior workers you see today will be the senior workers tomorrow: I mean in the not-too-distant or immediate future where they will be in that position of influence to determine the progress or retrogression of your company, goods or services. Even if in the far future, such a person will definitely have a say one day on your company, your proposal, your funding or application. Even now, they have a say.

A lady who went for an interview passed coming out tops. After the whole process, the managing director asked the receptionist how she saw that particular lady and the other interviewees. The receptionist responded that “Oh, that lady, hmmm. When she came, she didn’t greet anybody here. All she did was ask where is the boardroom and she moved there”.

The managing director upon receiving this response said that such a lady will not fit within the system here so the employment be passed to the second in line, who had respect for other junior workers in that company during the interview.

DO YOU HAVE RESPECT for Junior Workers?

You might even be their superior at work. But it’s still important you respect junior workers.

#BGIM SEQUEL to PAY YOUR WORKERS- FOUNDERS’ DAY EDITION

Anytime workers here of pay 💵, they are very excited. So most workers were happy to hear that this week’s #BGIM was urging employers to pay their workers and not to delay with it in order for God’s blessings to be on their business continually.

As it is said, there are always two sides of a coin. Now, we look at Workers’ side of the coin.

RESPECT YOUR BOSS

Colossians 3:22-23 reads from the NIV
v22. Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.

v23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

The King James puts part of the text as “…obey your masters in all things, NOT AS EYE PLEASERS 👀 as menpleasers…”

It is the moral and religious responsibility of every worker to respect their employers and superiors at work. Some workers just don’t respect their workers. They look at the flaws of their masters and use it as a reason to disrespect their masters.

Some say their boss is not a religious person say a Christian, hence they do not give such bosses the maximum respect they would have given to a Christian boss. Others look at the low education of their boss and don’t respect because they are always talking about big things, looking at other so-called big companies and also looking forward to become the Managing Director of that same company. Some say their boss is not compassionate or generous, so they don’t show maximum respect to them.

But truth is whatever the reason is, you have to respect your boss. The God who gave you employment is that same God that placed you under him. If you disrespect your boss, unknowingly, you are being disrespectful to God Almighty in Heaven. That’s a truth most of us don’t know especially the young people of today anytime we disrespect our bosses and the elders in our community.

The Bible reiterates this point in Romans 13:1-“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”

Respect your boss no matter the reason even if your pay has delayed. If you respect, the Good God who sees all you do would open greater doors 🚪 of blessings for you there whereas your colleagues are acting as menpleasers. Don’t be like them who work only when their master is watching.

God is watching 👀, so respect your boss.

A special *HAPPY FOUNDERS’ DAY* to all my fellow Ghanaians as we celebrate our founding fathers who with all their might and property founded this nation on a good soil. Notable mention is our first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to whom we celebrate 🙌 his 107th birthday 🎂 today.
